Aquatic Controls will conduct a preliminary milfoil survey in
preparation for the annual milfoil treatment. Before this date,
members are asked to mark areas in the lake where significant
concentrations of the invasive have been spotted. |

meeting. The meeting will be held at The Acre, the Lake
Williams Beach Owner's Association pavilion, off of Lake Shore Drive.

The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station will
conduct a survey of the lake. Their primary purpose will be to
identify what types of vegetation the lake contains (both native and
invasive) and they will also identify where in the lake the various
species exist. The preliminary information will be useful to
fine tune the annual milfoil treatment that occurs later in the month. |

Annual milfoil treatment Swimming and fishing is not allowed on
this day and boating is discouraged (these activities may disturb the
treatment placement reducing its effectiveness). Additionally,
do not drink the water, use it for irrigation or water livestock or
animals for seven days from the date of treatment. Signs will be posted.
