The Friends of Lake Williams (FLW) is an organization dedicated to preserving the natural beauty and usefulness of Lake Williams in Lebanon CT for anyone who enjoys the recreational pleasures that the lake has to offer.

This web site was created to educate and inform FLW members (current and future), Lake Williams property owners, residents and non-residents about the purpose and accomplishments of our organization.  FLW will also use this web site to publish meeting minutes and other important and relevant information.

Announcement 

INVASIVE PLANT SYMPOSIUM

Convened by the Connecticut Invasive Plant Working Group Wednesday, October 1, 2008. 8 am – 4 pm, Connecticut Invasive Plant Working Group Symposium 2008 "Cherish Our Natural Heritage: Managing Invasives to Promote Native Diversity".  Symposium at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT, open to all interested people.  Keynote Speaker: Doug Tallamy. Cost is $40 (postmarked by September 10), late registration fee $55 (postmarked by September 24), Students $25; includes parking and sustainable food. FLW Note concerning the symposium: A part of the afternoon agenda includes a discussion of aquatic invasive plants that should be of interest to FLW members or other individuals interested in the welfare of Lake Williams.
